The performance of “Sipsik” taught us to also appreciate old things


In November, children from eight family homes around Estonia – from Tartu, Põlva County, Ida-Viru County, Saare County, Viljandi, Tallinn and Jõgeva County – went to see the brand new performance “Sipsik and the Old Things” in the Chamber Hall of the Estonian National Opera. The musical performance, which was based on elements from Eno Raud’s famous children’s book, hooked the children as well as the accompanying adults with its heartfelt message and memorable set design.

SEB Autumn Run has a solid place in the hearts and feet of children


The SEB Autumn Run, held each September, has become a fun and active tradition in many of the Estonian safe houses and substitute homes. This was another year of the children racing together with their teachers. Some families challenged themselves without racing against the clock, while others joined the timed 10 km walking and running race. The smaller children were eager to participate in the children’s races.

Summer football camps encouraged children to participate in sports


Thousands of kids spent time athletically last June and August, kicking a ball around in different stadiums. Last summer – as they have done for many summers in the past with support from SEB Heategevusfond – 62 boys and girls from shelters and replacement homes took part in football camps across Estonia, where experienced coaches trained both seasoned and rookie football enthusiasts.
