Cirque du Soleil taught circus arts to Estonian children


On the second to last day of the year, the children staying at children’s shelters and substitute homes participated in the circus arts workshop arranged by Cirque du Soleil at Saku Suurhall.

Gingerbread Tour


In December, at the initiative of the SEB Heategevusfond (SEB Charity Fund), yet another Gingerbread Tour took place. This year, the tour took place for the fifth time, with adult volunteers visiting children's shelters around Estonia to make gingerbread cookies together with the children staying at the shelters. This year, the Gingerbread Tour made stops at eight different places – in Tallinn, Harju County, Ida-Viru County and Pärnu.

Estonia-wide training and round table of children’s shelters held in Pedase


On 3-4 November, employees from eight Estonian children’s shelters gathered in the town of Pedase, in Harju County, in order to improve their professional skills. The continuing training was held in cooperation with the family centre Sina ja Mina (You and Me); cooperation with which has been on-going for a period of four years.
