Vinski’s pranks brought joy


At the end of June, the children of Estonian substitute homes and safe houses were invited by the non-profit association SEB Heategevusfond to watch the summer theatre’s family-friendly play “Vinski Over the Town” in the courtyard of the Song Festival Museum. The children met the theatre director and actors, enjoyed a summer day while walking around in Tartu, taking photos, and looking at the Upside Down House.

Buratino's story: why be good when can you be clever?


During the last weekend of May, the non-profit association SEB Heategevusfond invited children from Estonian orphanages and shelters to take part in the wonderful theatre magic at the Estonian National Opera, in which Olav Ehala's family-friendly musical Buratino premiered. Children got to wander around the backstage world and meet the general manager and the composer of the show.

A Window into the World of an Orchestra brought the children closer to music.


The second Sunday in April was a marathon theatre day for many of the children in Estonia’s shelters and substitute homes. In the morning, they watched the educational concert performance Window into the World of Orchestras (Aken orkestrimaailma), at the Estonia Theatre, and in the evening, Little Gavroche (Väikest Gavroche), at the NUKU Theatre. As always, they took a peek into life backstage at both theatres.
